We Heart Grant's Farm

I'm going to help my sister out with her fun and fairly free things to do in the STL.
Welcome to our trip to Grant's Farm.

The best tips I can give to anyone going or visiting Grant's farm are as follows:
1. Get there when it opens. 9:30am is the best time to visit. If you wait too long you'll spend FOREVER trying to get in. Trust me on that one.
2. Get the $5 pass once you get off the train. It is good for feeding the goats, the carousel, and a snow cone for the kiddos. It's $5 per child.
3. If they still have the camels rides, it's worth the $5.
4. The bird show is fun for the kids! They also have an elephant show too.

So we've gone twice this year...please check out some of our memories below.
This was from our first trip. Feeding the goats is fun for everyone.

We chose to stay on the OUTSIDE of the fence. It was a wise choice.

You can choose to feed the goats inside the fence or outside the fence. We find that feeding the goats on the outside of the fence worked better for us. If you like goats jumping up on you then you belong inside the fence for the "hands on" experience.

The carousel is fun for most ages

One person or child per animal

Yeah I tried to stick the middle and the little on the same animal...it didn't fly. Just an FYI.
At the Bird Show! They loved it.

They have Parrots

Bald Eagles

The fun finale
They have more than just birds too, we saw a porcupine, some rats and they loved crowd participation!

Too bad it wasn't hump day!

Some of the fun animals we got to see from the train.

Cute little deer
Who doesn't love elephants?

And WHO doesn't like snow cones?!?!?!?!?

Here's where the fun really begins...the camel ride. Have you ever tried to look graceful on a camel? Yeah, I don't think it's really possible. Cool, yes, graceful, NOT really.

She didn't care! She loved it!!

The middle wanted me to ride along! I thought that was sweet.
You can visit the horses too.

She just loves messing with her daddy!

The little was just ready to GO!
And for the parents there is free beer sampling after everything is said and done. I think with the parking being only $12 per vehicle. Your time there plus the alcohol is totally worth the small price to park.
On the march to the train

All in all what a beautiful day!
