You can tell we are an artistic family....

You can surely tell that we are an artistic family, we are truly a little bit out there, but there is one thing for certain...WE know how to have FUN! There usually isn't ever a dull moment in our household with three little girls underfoot and full of energy! It shouldn't ever surprise me what happens when one simple request of, "MOMMY! MOMMY! MOMMY! Can we color with chalk," turns into a wild mess of color all over Mitch's freshly cleaned back porch. See, just have a look...

Pete the leader. The goggles were because she
got chalk dust in her eyes.

Re-Pete, the first follower of Pete, also needs
to don the goggles.

The bagger, she makes sure they have the tools
they need to create GREAT masterpieces!

Please note for the record: Mitch told them to go out on the back porch. They are easier to watch when they are confined into a 12X12 space.

At least it comes off with a good soaking rain
For the grand finale!!! Trust me, this is just a little piece of the Masterpiece.

We are making memories people!
We are making memories!

All I can think of is THANK GOD it comes off with a good soaking rain and that they didn't tag up our front porch like they usually do. If you ever happen to be in the neighborhood, if they'd been outside with chalk you will always be able to tell which house is ours! It's the memories that I will hold near and dear when they are grown and out on their own with little minions of their own!

  1. I love it too! You and Lauren were Barbie girls! Do you remember playing for hours in Grandmas front yard or back yard, under the trees, with the Torretta girls, Amanda, or Michelle? I'm ready to create a play space for the grand kids in the windbreak. There is a spot, near the house, that reminds me of a natural gazebo that just begs for children to run and make believe. I plan on putting the arch (that was suppose to be for your wedding) at the entry way and maybe add a brick floor. It will be a wonderfully peaceful for visiting over iced tea or wine, out of the sunlight on a hot summer day.
